I started my career as a Maths teacher in 1993 and have worked at several schools within Oxfordshire, before becoming headteacher of Wood Green School in 2013. It is a privilege to be Head of a school in my home community.

The role of Headteacher gives a unique opportunity to shape the education of young people, ensuring that each Wood Green student has the experiences that will develop them as learners and as people. Being part of the Acer Trust has enabled me to collaborate with and learn from the other schools, and provides unlimited support! Opportunities such as peer reviews have enabled teachers to be challenged and supported by colleagues doing similar roles across the Trust. Being in the Trust also brings improvement to the way we operate, which is creating a better environment, supporting teaching and learning and ultimately benefitting the development of our students
