I am proud to be the Headteacher of The Cooper School and to be part of the Acer Trust team. I bring with me a strong belief in the power of comprehensive education, shaped by my own experience of being comprehensively educated and by my career in state schools across Oxfordshire.
My academic journey began at Cardiff University, where I studied Law, before discovering my true vocation in teaching. I completed my PGCE and Master’s degree at Oxford Brookes University and have since worked at The Oxford Academy, Wheatley Park School and Cheney School, where I developed my leadership experience and classroom practice.
As an English teacher, I am passionate about literacy, storytelling and the life‑changing opportunities a great education can provide. I believe in schools that set the highest possible expectations for every child, while being rooted in warmth, kindness and mutual respect.
Outside school, I am a devoted mother, which strengthens my commitment to ensuring that every child at The Cooper School feels known, supported and inspired to succeed. I am excited to work with students, families, colleagues and the Trust as we continue to build a thriving school community together.
